Refúgio Biológico Bela Vista

Bela Vista Biological Refuge is an ecological reserve managed by Itaipu Binacional, covering more than 1,600 hectares of preserved Atlantic Forest along the banks of the Paraná River. The refuge is a wildlife rehabilitation center — jaguars, birds of prey, capybaras and caimans live in semi-natural environments. Guided trails pass through aviaries, controlled release areas and viewpoints overlooking the Itaipu reservoir. A visit is recommended on sunny days with mild temperatures, as part of the trail runs outdoors through the forest.
